Safe and Sound

I'm not sure if this'll get removed from Youtube but I came across the perfect combination about thirty seconds ago and decided the word needed to be spread. T Swift wrote a song for the Hunger Games album!!!!!!!
It's SO perfect, if you've read the books (I'm currently reading the third, Mockingjay, on my Kindle) I think you'll agree-fan of Taylor or not. It definitely sounds different than the typical giddy love songs Taylor writes and I've got to say I LOVE IT! I'll stop now so you can listen!

Oh to be an Interior Designer Millionaires...

These pictures make me want to be a millionaires (sinful as that desire is...), these pictures make me want to be an interior designer, these pictures make me melt...

I LOVE that the gold isn't just all over the walls; creative.

Oh to be royal...
This must be my living room someday!!! I pray for the husband that has to live in that space though...

Weird location for a couch..hmm..
Does is get any better than sleeping with fishies?!
Love this color combination.
Where is this resort and how can I get a (very free) reservation?
Oh, this doesn't fit the theme? I don't care, I make the rules and I say he stays.
Did you all read this article about why he was cast as Noah in the Notebook?! That director cray-cray...

Have a glamourous week!

How'm I Supposed To Breathe With No Air

Ha! I thought I was so clever with the title, whatevs. So I was the weird one on Prom Committee who suggested instead of spending money on silly decorations and such, we set aside money for something fun like: an OXYGEN bar!! How fun, right?! I thought it would make us feel so old, chic and rejuvenated but, shockingly, nobody went for it.

I decided that I would at least have to try out the one in Raleigh on my own sometime, but there was a problem. Who would go with me? I found the perfect solution when my friend told me she wanted basically a stress free distraction day to get her mind off something big happening that day. Bingo!! If nobody will go willingly, I will drag them unknowingly and accomplish my mission! Well, this girl is happy to report that the mission has been accomplished.
And I've got a picture to prove it.
Boom.
My friend who was nice enough to humor me and try it out!!
It wasn't the flavored oxygen {Watermelon, Lime, Island Mango} that was the best part to be honest, but the cool massager thing they put on us and the sodium blahblahblah thing they put on our backs! {AKA glorified heating pad}.

 In other news, I found my Easter dress!! {Well, probably/maybe}
LaRouque, the custom dress company- most famous for designing dresses for the Carolina Cup- has gone wholesale!! This means I'll be able to buy this lovely without trekking down to Charleston {which I'll be doing in late April anyhow for my Grandparent's 50th-wooohoo!!!!!}
How cute is this?!
Have you ever tried an oxygen bar?! What were your thoughts? Do you want to try one if you haven't already? Am I crazy for shopping this far ahead? No wait, don't answer that one...

As always,

Andre Dawkins Behind & Facebook Boycott

Can we talk about the new FB timeline? Time for an official Facebook boycott. I'm telling ya, I am d.o.n.e. with that site. (Not at all, but whatever..) If you have a Facebook, what are your thoughts about the new "timeline"?

We get pretty darn good tickets to the Duke Basketball games, which I never go to, but my Dad begged me to go tonight, and I agreed to go for the first half. Wow-ey! I forgot how much fun they are. I swear right after I took this picture (to show the proximity of the players, not to be creepy, I promise... ha!) Andre's full moon was exposed while he tucked in his jersey...oops!
Looks like that guy     ^^^ had quite the view!
I'll leave you with some yummy Christmas treats to get you in the 20 pound gaining holiday spirit!
{12 Layer Cake}

{Chocolate Dipped Peppermint Marshmallows}

{Peppermint Punch}
I feel full just looking at the pictures, yummy!

Happy Monday!

Wishlist

At the top of my wishlist is something I've been wanting for quite some time now. I feel like after putting it off for almost a year, it's time for me to get a Marley Lilly monogrammed scarf! A great way to get one would be to win this giveaway that's open now until next Saturday on Rebecca's blog, Beautie & the Belle! Check it out & good luck to all who enter {though I'm crossing my fingers pretty hard!} ;)

MK Gols Bracelet Chain Watch $250
Tory Burch on sale for $99 - only one size, and it's mine! Meant to be?! I think so.
a Barbour!
This car. 1954 Chevy Bel Air-my dream car. I'm a dreamer.
I looove getting new nailpolishes! I really want to try one by Butter London

Anything turquoise

Is is asking too much for ^ that to be real life?! No. Asking too much would be asking for this:

And who knows, maybe someday I will.

Hope you're enjoying your break if it's started already! I know I am! :)
Thanks for reading!

Your Husband's Perspective

I am obviously not married, but this reminds me of my talkative mother and one of her friends...sorry mom! This song is one of my all time favorites - thank you 94.7 for reminding me that it exists!
Take it away, Toby....
Anyone else laugh when they listen to this?!

And the song I've had on replay this week...

Obsessed. Does this stick in your head like it does in mine??
---------------------
I am ALMOST done with Christmas shopping-not really at all, but my brother and Dad are checked off the list!

I bought my brother this shirt from Orvis:
I had a $25 off card that was only available in stores, but my store didn't have this shirt so they let me use it online-yay! Good customer service is a big plus in my book. Well, it is in everyones..but I was grateful :)
I bought this bowtie for my dad because he's obsessed with Churchill, and I'm excited to introduce him to this cool company!

They have a bunch of other bowties that are great for gifting!
I used the code "TFM" which gives 20% off all neckwear.

To end on a glamorous note

Happy Friday!

Review: Macadamia Deep Hair Repair Masque

Before I adress the topic of this morning I must say this. After a solid year of trying to figure out why my posts were not appearing in the blogger dashboard feed, I figured it out!!
I won't go into what I had to do...but it was a little simpler than I expected to say the least...oops.
Note to self & others : Don't change your URL without looking into it.............

ANYhoo, back to the subject at hand.

I read about this product on Style Me Swanky, and decided if their was a possibility that it would as great as it sounds I should try it. I had my mom drive me to ULTA so that I could walk home and I got all kinds of strange looks on the trail with an ULTA bag in hand..whatever mind ya own beeswax, folks
I decided to put it in my hair slightly longer than the suggested 7 minutes because my hair was that damaged. Mind you, this was purchased pre-hair cut and I was trying desperately to salvage some pretty unsalvageable split/burnt ends. After washing it out and then shampooing and conditioning, I am excited to report that this product works wonders!! Though it did not save my disastrous ends, it has provided a bright future for the hair that now remains.

Bottom line?

I need to lay off the heat tools, and use this masque 1-2 times per week.

In other news, Carrie Underwood is still gorgeous, fashionable, my idol fav celeb

Modern & Glamourous
She can do no wrong in my book!

Back to the real world, I know most of you have exams/finals/big papers this week, so good luck to all! Only four exams standing between me and Christmas break! And after tomorrow, only TWO!

Happy Monday!

Last Week In Pictures!

Following Thanksgiving, I gave you a preview of the latest hairtrend I've tested out, and given that everyone follows Pinterest now, you all guessed right-it was the Sock Bun!
Back

Finally found the earrings my parents gave me!! It was a happy day
The messy side..I felt so old which I find so fun-I know, I'm weird.
And if you know me, you know that I put on red lipstick 50% of the time that I am in my house because I love it so much but would never be bold enough to wear it in public. Aaand I don't know if a 17 year old should be wearing red lipstick in public anyhow.

Guess what I bought at Target after waiting in line for two hours on Black Friday??!??

.........................................................................
A Kindle!!!
Aka the thing that has distracted me from posting on my blog for like ..foreva!
I got a glitter-mani with my friend Ash last week that lasted all of three days..Oh well! You win some, you lose some..(loved it while it lasted!)
I am regretting not getting this dress at out BRAND NEW FOREVER 21-WOOP WOOP! But my sister tells me she hates it so I shouldn't go hunt it down now..it this one worth searching for??

Here's a (terrible) picture of our Christmas tree! 'Tis the season!

How was your week? What are you most looking forward to about the Holiday break? Are you as obsessed with Forever 21 as I am? Yay almost break!!

Happy Weekend!

Parents out of town...what to do?

Need to find a way to occupy your time while your parents venture to the Sin City for the week? Easy, don't think about how long it will take to re-grow or how the new 'do will look on you, just

Cut yo dang hair!

I know you're wondering who thinks like this. I am here to tell you that clearly, I do. Yes, I admit it, I cut my hair tonight without thinking for TWO seconds about it.
Eeew split ends. G-ross!
I don't think I thought I was actually going through with cutting my own hair....again
(I may or may not have cut five inches off my hair when I had a fever of 103 last december...woopz)
20 minutes later...
Waaaah irreversible..
Smiling on the outside, fuh-reaking out on the inside. What have I done?!?

Should I dye my hair next, shake things up a little more? What's the most exciting thing you've done this weekend? It's almost time for Christmas Break!!!!!

Black Friday Adventure!

I had a fun Thanksgiving that consisted of going to the club with the family for brunch, playing Wii, watching football, eating more soup & family game night!
Now, I am ready for the real fun to start... ;)

In fifteen minutes I am setting out on an adventure with my sister to....Target! For the midnight opening and the Black Friday doorbusters none of which I want/need/will buy. Come on, everyone knows it's just fun to watch the madness and the seriousness of some of the crazies that wait 364 days for this one day to arrive and have to get every deal in the store..right?! Well, that is at least why I go!

Here's a hint at what my next post will be on!

Moi
Anyone recognize what I tried to copy from Pinterest?? I know, you're DYING to know what my shouting's all about. Well you'll just have to wait until tomorrow! ;)

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope it was filled with a food, family and happiness!
